One of the highlights of ‘Scoundrel’ was when the Inspector
started singing ‘Always Look on the Bright Side’ from Monty Python’s ‘Life of Brian’ when he introduced the title character to the BOOTH.

SR Azul Ashengrotto - Luxe Couture Voice Lines
Tumblr media
Summon Line: Top-class maisons and a premier event... This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. I'll make sure to fully enjoy myself here in the Fairest City.
Groooovy!!: The film fest is just getting started. Now, it's time for me to start building connections with the celebrities at the venue.
Home: A fine silhouette.
Home Idle 1: I'm elated to have been able to get my hands on some quality porcelain plates. It was a tad pricier than I would have liked, but this investment is a must for the Mostro Lounge.
Home Idle 2: I can't believe how easily he connected to the staff members at the high-end brand store... Ace-san's social skills are astounding.
Home Idle 3: Does it not seem as though Jamil-san is well-suited to be a manager to the stars? I'm sure he would be capable of attending to even the most freewheeling client.
Home Idle - Login: The Fairest City is a blend of long-standing traditions and recent trends. I'm sure there will be much for me to learn here.
Home Idle - Groovy: It's vital to always establish an equitable rapport with clients. Even among high-class folk, one must always carry themselves with confidence.
Home Tap 1: I believe that branding is equal to building a fan base. It is vital to always be recognized by someone at all possible times.
Home Tap 2: My mother transformed a small trattoria into a famous restaurant. I remember there were often times that we would get to try her newest crafted dishes for dinner.
Home Tap 3: Every cosmetic that Vil-san purchased were extremely expensive. I suppose an actor of his talents would need proper self-investment of that level.
Home Tap 4: I do also have an interest in show business. I cannot act nor direct, but I believe I could be of good use as a producer.
Home Tap 5: If we are to try some sweets, let's look at that shop over yonder. Not only do they look tasty, it seems they are made with quality ingredients.
Home Tap - Groovy: Would you please take a photo of me with Eric-san? I'm sure it would be a fantastic conversation starter if I were to hang it up in the Mostro Lounge.

ERIC CAMPBELL born Alfred Eric Campbell on April 26, 1879 in Dunoon, Scotland.
He appeared in eleven films with Charles Chaplin, in which he usually played the role of the great villain. Initially, he played in local theaters in Wales and Scotland. He was noticed and hired by the English impresario Fred Karno for his comedy troupes "Fun Factory", which also featured other comedians, Charlie Chaplin and Stan Laurel. Eric Campbell arrived in New York with Karno's group in July 1914 and was soon hired by Broadway producer Charles Frohman. Eric became very popular as a stage actor. In late 1915, Charlie Chaplin and his brother Sydney, who were in New York to sign a contract with Mutual, found Eric working on George M. Cohan's play "Pom Pom," and in March 1916 took him to Hollywood. Eric Campbell was a huge man, standing over six feet tall and weighing over 250 pounds. He also wore heavy makeup; black eyebrows, darkened eyes, and a long, untidy beard. His first film was "The Floorwalker" (1916), in which he played the role of a tough villain. He played the same, sinister character to the film in other films, such as "The Rink" (1916), "The Pawnshop" (1916), "The Adventurer" (1917), "The Cure" (1917), "The Immigrant" (1917), "Easy Street" (1917). Early in 1917, Campbell made his last film for Mutual, "The Adventurer", after which Charlie Chaplin began building his own studio. During this time, Campbell worked with Mary Pickford and starred in Amarilly of Clothes-Line Alley (1917). His personal life was dotted with setbacks. On July 9, 1917, his wife died suddenly of a heart attack after dinner at a Santa Monica restaurant near their home. His 16-year-old daughter, Una, was hit by a car and seriously injured. He also struggled with family problems. In December, Campbell attended a Christmas party at the Vernon Country Club and drove back to Los Angeles very drunk. As he approached the intersection of Wilshire Blvd and Vermont Ave, traveling at over 60 mph, he lost control of his car, crossed Wilshire and collided head-on with another car, killing himself instantly. He died on his way home in a car accident on December 20, 1917. He was 37 years old. Una Campbell, the actor's only child, returned to the UK to live with relatives in Nottingham after her father died. She married Philip O. Bull in Lewisham in 1930 and died in Croydon in 1967. A 1996 documentary film, Chaplin's Goliath: In Search of Scotland's Forgotten Star, written and directed by Kevin MacDonald, explored Campbell's life and work. During filming, a plaque commemorating Campbell was placed at Rosedale Cemetery and another was added to the Castle House Museum in Castle Gardens, Dunoon.

CLOSED! Preliminary Hot Vintage TV Men List
Alright folks! We have one week left on submissions for the Hot Vintage TV Men's Bracket! As promised here is a list of all the Hot Vintage TV Men who have been submitted and passed our preliminary eligibility checks. There are a handful of guys on this list and one or two not on it that we are currently still debating on so reminder that this list is not final and subject to change.
Currently we have 231 Hot Vintage TV Men!
Also in advance of the competition I'd like to remind anyone submitting propaganda for someone that starred in a show that aired only partially during our timeframe or was under 18 for a part of a shows filming, to please make sure you are only submitting propaganda that is from within our timeframe and when the actor was 18 years or older. This is also just good to keep in mind in general as several people submitted actors for shows that aren't eligible for our tournament either because it was outside our time period or in one case the actor was underaged for the entirety of the show (though many were eligible for other shows they were submitted for). We do our best to screen for these things but sometimes it's hard to tell or it’s a show we don't personally know well enough so we appreciate help from y'all letting us know if you do catch anything.
List below the cut

"At least one way of measuring the freedom of any society is the amount of comedy that is permitted, and clearly a healthy society permits more satirical comment than a repressive, so that if comedy is to function in some way as a safety release then it must obviously deal with these taboo areas. This is part of the responsibility we accord our licensed jesters, that nothing be excused the searching light of comedy. If anything can survive the probe of humour it is clearly of value, and conversely all groups who claim immunity from laughter are claiming special privileges which should not be granted."
~ Eric Idle, comedian, actor, and author (b. 29 Mar 1943)

George Harrison's cameo in The Rutles: All You Need Is Cash.
"The sureness of Eric Idle’s judgment was encouraged and confirmed by George who plunged into Eric’s project as publicist, adviser and as actor, playing a nosey reporter interviewing press officer Eric Manchester (Michael Palin) as he lied about and denied the decline of Rutle Corps." - Derek Taylor, I Me Mine (x)
“The great thing about The Rutles is that even though it was a parody it was the nicest thing about The Beatles. It was done with love, even though it was a send-up. And because of Eric Idle being a good friend of mine, it have him access to things that any other potential Beatle filmmaker wouldn’t have. I showed him footage that was obscure, like when we first came into NYC, in the back of a limousine and Paul’s listening to a radio and a guy is saying ‘the Beatles are going to be here at the station to read their poetry.’ And that isn’t a famous bit of footage. So in the Rutles you see them, and he’s listening to the radio, and the disc jockey ‘and the Rutles are coming to talk about their trousers.’ And also, just the detail, where they got exactly what sort of suits we were wearing on that day, even at Shea Stadium, little marshal’s badges, the Rutles even had the psychedelic guitars, it had a good eye for detail. At the same time, it sent up documentaries, the style and those boring questions that they ask.” - George Harrison, Globe and Mail, 1987 (x)

Happy Anniversary to The Young Ones!
The sitcom that changed British comedy (and my gender) where the fan community resulted in me meeting most of you
Tumblr media
resulting in numerous fanfics, fanart and a fan-zine.
To British Comedy, this show paved the way for the themes to be more alternative and anti-establishment, to skyrocket the careers of Rik Mayall, Ade Edmondson and Nigel Planer.
Some characters can be read as queer-coded, becoming one of the big queer fan communities tied to British pop culture alongside Doctor Who and Sherlock.
Yet compared to them, tyo was niche, just like how it was in the realm of British television, there was no nuclear family unless you see the lads as the "found family" trope, just a bunch of chaotic unlikeable uni students causing havoc while having musicians play, the variety show style layout resulting in later shows like Family Guy using cutaway gags.
To Me, The Young Ones made me rediscover and re-evaluate myself, as I mocked characters like Rick for their weird behaviour I noticed some of those traits in myself, making the character help in making me adjust better socially while accepting the "good traits" I still share with him like our interest for 80s pop music and lefty activism.
Rick was what changed the trajectory of my gender, my vibe and my belief system, having been centrist in my teens, watching this show encouraged me to learn the historical context of 1980s Britain to see the horrible situations Thatcher put people through and noticing the parallels in my own generation with Teresa May and Liz Truss.
Vyvyan was also an awakening, I ended up befriending my pal @thrillbroswaggins due to this series and we connected over it
then via them, I found an amazing discord community of britcom fans all across the world, @scumbaganarchy , @shotsofnovacaine, @1863-project @st4r-sh1ne amongst many many others.
Through this series, I started learning more about Rik Mayall as an actor and his other work, I resonated a lot with some of his characters, resulting in loads of poetry and headcanons.
and on the Twitter side of the Britcom fandom sphere I met one of my best mates Holly, both being Performing Arts students at the time and still buddies 5 years later.
British Comedy is still something I'm incredibly passionate about and while I try to balance it with my other fixations, it holds a special place in my heart and continues to influence my creative projects
(such as my Rick Bratt drag routine for Cait's Laughathon for Eric Idle last year)
heres to TYO, for making comedy cool and punk, for making me figure out gender and for resulting in me meeting some of my best pals from around the world
you're all ruddy amazing!

Here’s how Figment can still win | updating the attraction
Tumblr media
I envy those who got to experience the ride in its original form with dream finder and all, I really do. I remember being a kid In the early 2000s and my grandpa was excited to take us on it as it was his favorite ride, only to find it completely different. However, what you might not expect me to say is that I don’t think the current iteration of journey into imagination is bad! Do I think it lives up to the original? No, but Dr.Channing is decent and the concept is quite cute.
The problem is this iteration is a clear patch job done nearly 20 years ago and they’ve let it sit ever since. This sucks. Especially considering Disney and Epcot clearly realize how much pull Figment has as a character, people adore this purple dragon years after his debut (remember the popcorn bucket?). They’ll slap him on anything and everything for festivals… but his ride? Actual non festival attraction related merch? You get a shirt or two if you’re lucky! When I went recently there was a single shelf reserved for figment related items. A single shelf in a decently sized gift shop that was mainly filled with the same Toy Story summer line they overestimated in popularity. (I’ve never seen anyone buy or have something from this line). The state it’s in is sad, especially considering Disney pulls on figments popularity! He’s getting a meet and greet again so can we finally update the attraction! … I’ve also heard rumor of the rainbow tunnel returning….
My solutions-
As much as I wish it could, I don’t know if we’ll get the dream finder version of the ride back, but here’s my idea on how to update the ride with the storyline we do have. It’s a cute concept but they’re not doing it to the best it can be.
1. Make it longer! To say they shortened journey into imagination is a understatement, I have no idea what they’re using half of the building for. Make it longer- maybe do go into the smell and taste labs. Make some more elaborate scenes- show that chaos figment has brought to the institue! One of the best gags is in the queue and the poor secretary of Dr.Channing answering the phone every few seconds - give me that energy! Give me… imagination running wild! That’s literally the storyline with figment but he feels so… constrained? Lack of space as it’s so short.
2. 2D figment. I beg of you. I know when the ride was redone 3D animation was new and all the rage but… I’m sorry 3D figment is terrifying and super dated. Soft, cuddly and cute 2D figment is timeless. It wouldn’t be that hard to go over the same scenes just with a drawn model instead, this is a quick fix to Rodger rabbit it.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
3. More characters. I’m not even asking for animatronics but you need to give us something more. Again, that secretary is just a gag but its such a good show of story we don’t get on the actual attraction. A fun idea you could do is have “Dean Finder” come out and be the only one to be able to calm figment down/understand him? Sort of nod to the OG besides just a door THEN they open Channings mind to imagination as something to be free. This equally lengthens the attraction.
Tumblr media
4. It just makes me sad as they have a really good concept here and ERIC FLIPPING IDLE but don’t utilize such a great comedic actor to the potential I know they could have. Another thing I’d request is the return of a good imageworks that’s not 99% photo opportunities with random characters not seen anywhere else. Additionally if you don’t want to make a lot of merch for the ride that’s fine… make the gift shop smaller, which shouldn’t be a issue if you make the ride longer again.
It’s fascinating to me that Disney consistently lets such a beloved attraction down despite using it for merch and festivals. It’s also fascinating that despite getting a whole makeover the park is leaning into a retro futurism feel and a “Epcot center” vibe (this is a good thing). But again ignores this ride- It’d be costly, sure, what isn’t, but I think it’d be worth giving just a bit of attention.

Is there a masterlist of, like, actors and celebrities that have come forward for trans rights?
I know the internet has all sorts of collections of people who've done something messed up and those always depress me but reading about David Tennant being supportive in the face of the UK government and current legislation and stuff really hit me and I'd love to be able to see who else is out there standing up for us and what's right.
If not, here's a list I'm putting together, feel free to add to it or add context in the notes if you want! I'm including celebrities who have affirmed their support for trans family members even if they're not doing other activism. I'm also only listing celebrities I know of, and this list does not in any way endorse any problematic stuff any of them may have done outside of the topic.
Just making this list is cheering me up a lot tbh

Well, I have to give it to Jensen... he went through a rough phase and was unemployed for a long time but he swam his way back and managed to get several projects - by networking and connections maybe, but it shows he has worked hard to get his foot back and was never sitting idle. Not like mishmash and some other extras who will pander endlessly to bunch of idiot fans and expect someone will come up and hand them a job because of those fans.
Exactly, and that's why you have to network and play golf with execs so you get these kind of roles. Lol But like I've said before, SB is only because he called Eric way back in 2020 to get the rights so he could make that abomination The Winchesters. He wasn't as lucky as Jared(I know his haters are gonna say, Walker, lucky?) and was offered EP and lead after SPN ended so he had to bide his time and network, which most actors do, til something he liked came his way. And Amazon finally delivered with Countdown. That's what happens when you have a holding deal. The network will either place you in an existing show or create one for you.
My advice for mustyface and the loser extras - network.

Personally, I think Vivziepop is riding the coattails of her Hazbin voice actors too hard and expecting them to carry her to success instead of good writing hence why she’s hyping them up so much. However, many people don’t give a shit or don’t know who members of the VA cast even are, having never heard of some or none of them before.
She'd do well to remember that even Burt Reynolds, Eric Idle and Anne Bankcroft couldn't save Delgo.
